The amazing aspect of Georges Seurat's work is it is made by painting dots of unmixed colors. When viewed from a short distance, it is just a bunch of dots, kind of like looking at an old color TV up close. But when viewing from a distance, the colors blend and the picture is revealed. It was the rhythm of the dots.
